We were honoured to receive an invitation for a lobbying visit on behalf of wild bees and biodiversity to the Bavarian parliament. During the second session, we had the opportunity to engage in a profound conversation with Christian Hierneis. In addition to his role as a State Parliament member, he serves as the Executive Director of the Bund-Naturschutz Foundation and chairs the board of directors for Bund Naturschutz in Munich. Bund Naturschutz (Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation) is a prominent environmental organisation in Germany, boasting around 660,000 members and supporters nationwide.

Christian Hierneis took the initiative to introduce us to meet with Dr. Christine Margraf, the wild bee specialist within the organisation. Our meeting took place at their Munich Nature Conservation headquarters in February 2023, where we engaged in a successfully negotiation regarding collaborations. Our focus was on the Raitenhaslach symposium and the strategic steps necessary to implement a comprehensive pilot project in Munich.
