He serves as the focal point for specialised matters concerning zoology and the knowledge of zoological species, with a particular emphasis on wild bees, birds, and hoverflies at the Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL).

The ANL’s central offices are situated in proximity to the city of Burghausen, nestled along the banks of the Salzach River. The subject and content of the forthcoming international symposium at Raitenhaslach could be considered something of a ‘home game’ for him and his team, given the alignment with his daily focus and specialisation.

Much thanks to his extensive network that has proven most invaluable in facilitating collaborations with other specialists, opening numerous avenues for joint endeavours.
