Tot voor kort was hij voor Solideo lid van het Raadgevend Comit\u00e9 voor het Initiatief Duurzame Ontwikkeling voor de Olympische Spelen van Parijs 2024. Momenteel is hij lid van de Wetenschappelijke Adviesraad van Dutch Greenlabel. \n\n\n\nHij is ook vice-president van de World Council on City Data en Senior Fellow bij het Global Cities Institute van de Universiteit van Toronto in Canada.
